A lot of clubs in the Boston area are closing down or no longer having rock bands play anymore. Any comment on this? Is this a reflection on music in general, or just the Boston scene? Boston is saturated. There are tons of good bands here, and for every good band there are thirty bad ones. It can't sustain itself anymore and I think that there are some symptoms of this, like clubs turning over and all that.Karate will be touring Europe soon. Have you ever played there before? Nope, never been out of the country. What are you studying at UMass? I'm in a Composition program, but my master's thesis is on the history of music synthesis since the 70s.What are your long-term goals with Karate and Secret Stars? Karate: eat, get paid, don't die in van accident. Secret Stars: keep tapping into Jodi's genius, make more noise and less pop.Related sites:
