Rich Upjohn

When, if ever, do you think you'll stop riding?
I don't know. You know, you asked me this ten years ago [in an interview] and it really depressed me (laughter). Today when I think about it, it depresses me. Because up until that point I never even thought of stopping.

It wasn't even an option.
It wasn't. I did not...it just wasn't an option. I was like "Oh...I don't know."

It was the first time you ever had to think about that.
Right! Now I think about it all the time (laughter). I guess I'll keep riding till my ankles give out. Look at Kevin Jones — I'm waiting for him [to stop] first.

Do you ride anything other than flatland?
If there's a bench around (laughter). I can, I just choose not to.

What's your favorite color?
Is that a trick question? (laughter) The color of my hair...chrome.

Music.
Yep!

Anything specific?
Let's see, I have a thousand albums I'm looking at right now...

What was the last one you bought?
Wait, I know this 'cause it's the only CD in the house not in alphabetical order: The Bosstones, Live from the Middle East.

If there was a gothic flatlander class at a contest, could anyone beat you?
That depends, are you talking like ESPN X-Games gothic flatland, or like old school stuff, too?

Old school included.
Oh, of course I'd rip (laughter),
