I can't recall the last time I went to a freestyle show. I remember seeing a Haro show with Rick Moliterno in the early 90s, but if I've seen one since then it's not sticking out in my mind. Usually shows tend to happen during the week or some other time I'm at work. One Sunday in July the 2-Hip team came to the BMXtreme bike shop in Warwick, RI, so I thought "what the hell?" The riders were flatlander Dave McDaniel, and jumping/street riders Andreas Kittel and Troy Brookshire — all nice guys as well as good riders. They did "show tricks" which were still decent, and the crowd dug it — especially backflips, of course. There was a good amount of flatland in the show (even on the crappy parking lot), and the announcer did a good job getting the crowd excited over flat. Afterwards they came down to Impact skatepark (where we were riding) for some non-show riding, and they wheeled on out of Rhode Island to the next show...
