Low Fat #3

30 minutes
Issue number three from the Northeast-based videozine Low Fat is a good one. Footage includes ESPN's X-Games (RI and NY), Maul's Brawl mini ramp contest, Boston street jam, and some scary footage of Dave Johnson at the Apple Bake-Off in NY. The video's first section — the Useless Contest in Greenvilee, NC — has a good mix of flat, ramp and jumping and has some sick stuff from Dave Mirra, Colin Winkleman, and others. If you like to get dirty, there are tons of dirt jumping in Low Fat 3: Mounds of Doom in Dracut, MA; 819 Trails in Mt. Pleasant, PA; the X-Games in Providence, RI; and Naugatuck Trails in CT — some of it drags on (the PA & CT sections), but the MOD section is rad. The video ends with some crazy stuff from the NY X-Games. Music is mainly your pop-punk variety, with songs by Mr. T Experience, Down By Law, Sinkhole, and Doc Hopper, among others. To sum it up: Low Fat 3 = good, Mark Florek = insane.
